Prep Time: 10 mins | Total Time: 10 mins | Serves: 6

Ingredients

  • 3 large ripe avocados, halved, pitted, and peeled

  • 1 lime, juiced, add more to taste

  • 1 teaspoon flaky sea salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin

  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely diced

  • 1 small jalapeño, seeded and finely minced, optional for mild heat optional

  • 1/3 cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped

  • 1/2 large ripe mango, diced into small cubes

  • 1 Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

  • 1 Tortilla chips, plantain chips, or fresh vegetable crudités

Instructions

Step 1

Halve the avocados, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a large bowl. Add the juice of one lime, a teaspoon of flaky sea salt, and a pinch of ground cumin. Use a fork to mash the avocados until they’re smooth, but still slightly chunky—this texture is key to a great guacamole.

Step 2

Finely dice a quarter cup of red onion and add it to the mashed avocado. Stir in about a third of a cup of freshly chopped cilantro. Mix gently to combine.

Step 3

Dice half of a ripe mango into small cubes and carefully fold it into the guacamole. For a bit of heat, finely mince a small jalapeño and add it in (optional for mild heat). Stir until the mango is evenly distributed.

Step 3

Season with freshly ground black pepper to taste. Taste and adjust seasoning with more lime juice, salt, or cumin as needed.

Step 4

Transfer the guacamole to a serving bowl and serve immediately with tortilla chips, plantain chips, or fresh veggie crudités for dipping.
