This warm and comforting breakfast brings together soft baked oats, tender apples, and a swirl of cinnamon for a dish that feels like a cross between oatmeal and a cozy morning cake. Everything mixes together in minutes before baking into a fluffy, lightly sweetened texture that’s both satisfying and wholesome. It’s an easy, nourishing way to start the day—with all the flavors of homemade apple cinnamon goodness baked right in.
Ingredients
• 1 apple
• 1 cup oats • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
• 1/2–1 teaspoon nutmeg
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 cup almond milk
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1/3 cup applesauce
• 1/4 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Peel the apple, cut the sides away from the core, and chop into small chunks.
In a bowl or oven-safe baking dish, combine the chopped apple, oats, cinnamon, nutmeg, and baking soda. Mix well to coat the apples and oats in the spices.
Add the almond milk, vanilla extract, and applesauce. Stir until everything is evenly combined and the mixture is fully moistened.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Bake for 30 minutes, or until the oats are set and the top is lightly golden. Serve warm.
