We’re turning Halloween up a notch with this epic spider-shaped bread bowl, packed to the brim with a rich, creamy spinach artichoke dip that'll have you fighting over the last bite! Think crispy, golden bread legs, pull-apart goodness, and that warm, gooey dip center – perfect for any fierce feast. Serve it up, and let the Halloween spirit take over – this one's a proper treat, no trick!

Prep Time: 25 mins | Total Time: 2h | Serves: 6-8

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 packet instant yeast, 2 ¼ tsp

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 cup warm water, 110°F/45°C

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

Step 1

In a bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes foamy.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Stir until the dough comes together. It may be sticky, and that’s okay!

Step 3

Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. You can also use a stand mixer with a dough hook.

Step 4

Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Step 5

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and shape it into a large round for the body and smaller pieces for the head and legs, like in the image. Arrange them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Step 6

Brush the dough with olive oil for a golden crust. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
