Prep Time: 15 mins | Total Time: 45 mins | Serves: 6

Ingredients

For the Punch

  • 4 cups fresh watermelon juice, about half a large watermelon

  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice, about 5 limes

  • 1/2 cup simple syrup, adjust to taste

  • 2 cups sparkling water or club soda

  • 1/2 cup coconut water, optional, for a tropical twist

  • 1/2 cup white rum or vodka, optional for an adult version

Garnish Options

  • fresh mint leaves, for garnish

  • lime wedges, for garnish

  • watermelon cubes or wedges, for garnish

  • edible flowers, optional, for a chic touch

Instructions

Step 1

Cut the watermelon into cubes and blend them until smooth. Strain the juice through a fine mesh sieve to remove any pulp, yielding about 4 cups of watermelon juice.

Step 2

In a large pitcher or punch bowl, combine the fresh watermelon juice, lime juice, and simple syrup. Stir until well combined. Adjust the sweetness by adding more simple syrup if desired.

Step 3

Slowly pour in the sparkling water or club soda for that refreshing fizz. If you're going for a tropical flair, add the coconut water as well.

Step 4

For an adult version, stir in the rum or vodka. This adds an elegant touch but is entirely optional.

Step 5

Let the punch chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Step 6

When ready to serve, pour the punch into glasses filled with ice. Garnish with fresh mint leaves, lime wedges, watermelon cubes, and a few edible flowers for a sophisticated touch.
