These charming pizza pastries prove Halloween food can be both fun and refined. Flaky pastry wraps around classic pizza fillings—marinara, mozzarella, and pepperoni—baking into crisp, golden bites with a molten center. Equally suited for casual gatherings or a festive party spread
Ingredients
• 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed, or use pizza dough
• 1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara
• 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
• 1/4 cup mini pepperoni, chopped, plus extra for decoration
• 1/4 tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning
• 1 egg + 1 tsp water, for egg wash
• parmesan, chili flakes, or black olives, for decoration or flavor, optional
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Roll out the puff pastry or pizza dough slightly on a floured surface. Cut into triangle about 5–6 inches tall, with a long flat base and curved tip to resemble a witch hat.
On half of the triangles, spoon a small amount of pizza sauce in the center (about 1 tbsp).
Top with shredded cheese and a few pieces of chopped pepperoni. Leave a border around the edges to seal.
Place a second triangle on top of each filled one and press edges to seal.
Gently bend the top corner to curve like a witch hat. Crimp the edges with a fork or pinch for a rustic look.
Use tiny pepperoni squares or bell pepper bits along the base to mimic a “hat band.”
Brush each turnover with egg wash for shine. Sprinkle a little oregano or Italian seasoning on top.
Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
Serve warm with extra marinara or pizza sauce for dipping.
